Solid perfume—Recipe 1

Makes 80g

With this solid perfume you can add your favourite smelling essential oils and not have to have alcohol sprayed on your body.

50g coconut oil
25g beeswax
8ml essential oil (scent of your choice)

Heat beeswax and coconut oil together.
Wait for mixture to cool down and then pour in essential oils, and mix well until oils are totally mixed. (if mixture cools too quickly then put container in bowl of hot water).
Then pour mixture into jars immediately.
When mixture has cooled in containers put lids on.

To Use:
Put on your wrists and neck.
Since this perfume does not contain alcohol, then it will not be drying for your neck. It would also be an excellent way to put lavender essential oil, if you are proned to headaches—just add lavender essential oil to your base and use on your neck and temples, this way the lavender essential oil will not be overpowering.

Lavender Bath Fizz

Makes over 2 cups of bath fizz.

1 cup sodium bicarbonate
¼ cup citric acid
3 Tablespoon cornflour
½ cup sea salt
Handful of gently crushed dried lavender buds
2ml (40 drops) lavender essential oil

Combine all the above ingredients and pack into a jar.
It is really important to keep these ingredients extremely dry or the fizzing will take place without you.

To Use:
You can choose how much to use per bath, you will probably need a filter in the drain to catch the lavender buds.

Heat honey just a little bit and add essential oils and mix thoroughly.
Then combine dry ingredients with honey mixture.
Once the mixture is well combined, then add a handful of rose petals.

To Use:
You can choose how much to use per bath you will probably need a filter in the drain to catch the rose petals.

Energizing Bath Salts

1 cup Epsom salts
1 cup coarse salt
10—20 drops green food colouring
6 drops eucalyptus essential oil
10 drops rosemary essential oil
15 drops peppermint essential oil

Mix salts in large bowl. In smaller bowl take ¼ - ½ cup salt mixture and add food colouring and oils. Mix well. Add back into rest of salt mixture.

Lip Gloss

2 teaspoon beeswax
7 teaspoons castor oil or jojoba or sweet almond oil
1 teaspoon honey
5 drops of an essential oil such as lemon, peppermint, orange, lime, tangerine

Melt the oil and beeswax together in a little pan over low heat until the beeswax is melted.
Take off the stove and then add in your honey, and whisk it all together. When the mixture is nearly cool add in your essential oil, mix it up again and then pour into your lip balm containers.
Since this comes out to be more like a gloss you can always add more beeswax to it so that it is a little more harder. Maybe another ½ teaspoon would do it.
